Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Van Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting passengers safely and efficiently, while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and effective communication. Experience in driving various types of vehicles such as vans, limousines, or buses is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a van or shuttle vehicle to transport passengers to designated locations.
- Maintain the vehicle in good working condition by performing routine inspections and necessary maintenance.
- Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, including heavy lifting when required.
- Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Communicate effectively with passengers and dispatch regarding schedules, delays, or changes in routes.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing passenger inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, and passenger counts as required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience as a van driver, limousine driver, paratransit operator, or bus driver is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for passenger assistance.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with passengers and team members.
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and safe driving practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings if necessary.
